Using library licensed content in your Moodle site
CEU Library licensed content includes articles from e-journals, chapters from e-books, included in full-text journal and e-book databases.
We have negotiated licenses that permit:
- linking from Moodle
- in some cases full-text uploading of content.
Linking vs putting copies in Moodle
Some library database license terms require linking only, while others permit uploading of full text.
Common rules for using library licensed content in Moodle:
- Access to these materials are limited to authorized users of the course.
- Full citations must be included.
- Content may not be sold or used for any commercial purposes.
- The link or the copy must be deleted when no longer used for the course.
In this guide, you can check the options for 'ebooks', 'e-journals' and 'other licensed resources' allowed by the different publishers.
